Speech Therapy

Many students at The Child School experience difficulties in receptive and expressive language. These problems are often compounded by difficulties in abstract thought and conceptualization. Our speech and language therapy program extends into the classroom and every aspect of your child’s life at school. Our therapists work closely with teachers by consulting, collaborating, planning and being in the classroom with them. An emphasis is placed on educating teachers in speech and language strategies that will provide the most appropriate climate for learning in the classroom. This practice helps to ensure that techniques are implemented successfully to help students grow.
