Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!
Summer session is off to a fun start! Our Elementary students participated in Touch a Truck Day with the NYC Department of Sanitation, and Jennifer's 4th grade class learned to tie dye! See pictures here.

Our Elementary students enjoyed a visit from The Art Farm, which provided them the opportunity to see and touch various animals. See pictures here.
The Elementary students have been having a lot of fun raising money for some great causes at their weekly Friday flea market. See pictures here

The PA's International Potluck and Halloween Party on Friday October 26th was a wonderful event and a huge success. Food was plenty, the vibe was super positive and students from all age groups had tons of fun! See pictures here.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Students in Grades 8-11(and some 12th grade) attended an assembly on cyber bullying. Students and staff in MS and HS wore “orange” to show unity against bullying. See pictures here.
8th grade students have also been visiting the “Living Library” by working in the community garden on the Island. See pictures here.
Legacy Juniors and Seniors that are part of the NYC First STEM Center’s class on 2D and 3D designing and Robotics participated in a city wide competition on Sunday, January 27th and won the “motivate” award based on enthusiasm and honors their efforts of bringing awareness to robotics via their social media outlets, their friends, and others teams they networked with during the competition. Our High School Art Elective Class went on a field trip to the Textile Arts Center. See pictures here.
Parents of students in our STEM class were invited for a "show and talk" about their children's experience. Parents that attended had a good time and were quite impressed with the space and the work. Click here for a picture from the event.
Our Elementary students had a lot of fun at their annual Dance-a-thon to raise funds for the Art, Music, and Physical Education programs. See pictures of our superstar dancers here!
Our high school seniors volunteered to help unpack and store pallets of food for the Jewish Community Council’s food pantry in Washington Heights. The students had a great time giving back and doing something positive for the community See pictures here.
